The merchandise committee of Natbuild meets at least two times per year to

  1. consider submissions invited or received from suppliers
  2. review supplier performance and member support
  3. discuss appropriate action should there be supply or other problems.

Supply agreements usually are of one year duration. Agreements generally fall under one of three categories:

1) Preferred Supplier Agreements

Whereby a single supplier is given majority support from all Natbuild members stocking the specified product range in terms of dominant store merchandising and overall percentage of group purchases

2) Key Supplier Agreements

Whereby more than one supplier is given the opportunity to supply members a specified product range. Members are obligated to support at least one of the nominated key suppliers for that specified range

3) Secondary Supplier Agreements

Whereby a supplier recognises and supports Natbuild and competes for members' business in a specified range without formal preferred status.
